Graham Johnson, close friend in his twenties of Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears and one of Pears’s regular accompanists, explores the life, music and enduring legacy of Benjamin Britten in an illuminating talk for Friends of Wigmore Hall. Joined by tenor Hugo Brady, he brings Britten’s world to life through commentary and live musical illustrations, offering fresh insights into Britten, 50 years after the composer’s death.
